The following books about cancer and related topics have been informative:

The Magic Cancer Bullet, by Dr. Daniel Vasella.  Dr. Vasella is the CEO of Novartis.  In this book, he explains the development of the drug Gleevec, which is used for certain types of cancer.  It gives us hope that someday a drug will be developed for medulloblastoma.

Sharks Don't Get Cancer, by Dr. I. William Lane. In this book, Dr. Lane discusses his experience with shark cartilage and it's antiangiogenesis affects against cancer.

Cancer Warrior, This is a video I found at the library.  It was on the PBS show, NOVA and features Dr. Judah Folkman's groundbreaking research into antiangiogenesis.

Dr. Folkman's War, by Robert Cooke.  Dr. Folkman has devoted his life to the study of antiangiogenesis and how it can be used to defeat cancer.

Dark Remedy - The Impact of Thalidomide and Its Revival as a Vital Medicine, by Rock Brynner and Trent Stephens.  After reading the history of Thalidomide and its place today as part of Alex's treatment, we can better understand some of the side effects that he experiences.

The Burzynski Breakthrough, by Thomas D. Elias.  Much has been said about Dr. Burzynski.  Are his antineoplastons a cure for cancer?  There are documented cases in this book to support their success against cancer.
